Better 'reclining' system IMO. Too many premium economy seats are reclining a rediculous amount and properly encroaching on the person behind, especially if they choose not to recline themselves.

IDK, af is the shame of the country, lost my luggage and half of the passengers. I am waiting for more than 3 days given that I paid for business. So, what is the point of paying any extra money if such basic services as luggage delivery is not provided by so called airlines

Indeed, AF is notorious with checked luggage. They had a meltdown post Covid that I discussed in my last AF video where I play clips of Megan Kelly (love her or hate her) talking about how they lost all 5 of her bags for literally a month. It was only her celebrity that got a response. Godspeed, and hope you put in AirTags!

Awesome review as always and this was fun to watch as I flew from JFK to CDG in December in the exact same seat (like literally the same seat as you as I was in 12A on the 777 and I booked using the exact same promo award, though mine was to XZN aka Avignon TGV, since you can book TGV high speed train connections from CDG to certain stations with IATA codes with Flying Blue). For accommodations I think the miner's cabins on the edge of town are the most affordable. A bit of a walk to town, but still in the safe zone. As for excursions your choices are limited because you can't leave the town without a guide with a gun. Even if you want to hike on your own there's paperwork to fill out with the Governor. I think some of the least expensive boat excursions started at about $100, the ones I did were about $200. It's just that your options are limited.

I used to live in KW. If you take the boat, make sure you get good seasickness meds - the ocean west/souwest of KW can get very, very rough - I called it the 'Vomit Freedom' because all the tourists were just throwing up the entire time. But it's fun to watch the seasick passengers do the 'drunken ballerina' - when seasick and the boat is being thrown around people fling their arms out from their sides and cross their legs at their ankles, every now and then they go up on pointe in their flip-flops... Then they twirl around to the garbage can to vom. But sometimes they just don't make it to the garbage, and the vom goes everywhere... If that happens, help the seasick passenger - seriously, KW is about being kind. Then after your time on the island you'll usually find a boat passenger that well, missed their boat. So, they fly back in the seaplane. I always make it a point to be the jerk in those situations and proclaim loudly, "hey, since she didn't pay for a ticket, she can sit outside on the wing - she can pick the right or left wing though, that's okay". (LOL!) Then I offer the boatless tourist a snack or whatever I have, and always invite them to come and have a drink on me after we get back to KW. BTW, at the fort, check out the chapel if you like ghosts. That's all I'm gonna say about that - the rest you'll have to decide for yourself. The snorkeling is great there, but there can be strong currents at times, so just be sure you're a good swimmer if you go out in that, because they can be exhausting. Anyway, you'll be tempted to hurry because of limited time - just make it a point to come back. Spend your time at the fort relaxing, walking around enjoying the history and gorgeously stark and beefy architecture, and drink plenty of water - and don't forget to give your husband or wife plenty of water because you did after all lock them up in the dungeon, and there's no water in there -then give them a kiss goodbye and tell them how nice it was knowing them... Oh look, your plane is boarding!

Did the half day trip with my son in 2017. Lived in KW 69-73 and visited several times but Ft Jefferson was always on my bucket list. It was expensive but amazing. Unfortunately 4 hours isn’t enough if you want to spend time snorkeling. Would love to camp there for a couple days.

So I was wrong about the customer experience at United. Kirby had a road to Damascus moment. I was wrong. On basic economy though, I was completely right. Basic economy was supposed to be only on specific Spirit and Frontier routes. Now it’s everywhere, including to Europe and Asia. The spread between basic economy and regular has increased from 20$ to 35,40, or even hundreds of dollars. In that respect I was right. As for what the basic economy price actually is, that’s irrelevant, that’s just market forces.

I love Air Canada’s Aeroplan program. Since Lufthansa just started flying here to MSP a couple days ago, I’ve found really great deals to Europe on them vs on AC and the fact that they have an actual award chart I can use to see how much partner award flights can be. It makes me want to get status on AC actually because it’s sooooooooo much cheaper than here in the US.

Also, ULTRA LOW COST doesnt really fit with Norwegian. • @Travelog
      @Travelog 15 дней назад

You're absolutely right. I don't have any sort of industry knowledge about the inner workings of airlines (though other teams at my company do a bit of work with American). I'm just an economist who likes to travel. All of my commentary just comes from reading blogs in the travel hacker space, as well as news articles. I am not, and do not claim to be an expert. All I can do is express my views shaped by my experiences both in travel, as well as working in the private sector for big multinationals and more recently governments. A lot of airlines did a lot of selfish/arguably immoral things during the pandemic. United changed the definition of of what a delayed flight was to include 18 hours, so they wouldn't give refunds. Icelandair and Qantas sold tickets for flights they had no intention of operating. Air Canada and Aeromexico refused to give refunds. All of these were anti-consumer if not immoral. I have called out each of these in their respective videos. It simply was Norwegian's turn. I know that the tickets were sold by a different legal entity. That's kind of the point of the video. But to a lay person in the US (most of my audience), they wouldn't know that. The name and brand is the same, so they'd assume it was the same company. And I'm not kidding that I know people out thousands of dollars personally. As their friend, and more broadly as a traveler always pushing for a more pro-consumer stance, I wish they got a refund. I understand why they didn't, but that still doesn't make it right.

It's easy to make an airline look bad when you make a video specifically designed to portray it in a negative manner and avoid talking about the positives. You wonder why Delta was consistently ranked the best airline in America for several years in a row? Of course you wonder why because you choose to ignore the good parts. Stop making biased content like this.

I sincerely apologize for upsetting you and your love of a 33 billion dollar corporation! My intention was not to be negative. I praised the crew, favorable layout, and in seat entertainment. In other videos I’ve praised skyclubs and the video on the A220 is basically just a giant love letter to Delta. I’d still fly Delta over American on this route for sure. But do you disagree that the new app is a buggy mess? That’s the consensus on flyertalk. And if you think that meal was appealing, then I don’t know what to say. Ditto with the interior of the A319 following this flight coming apart. I’m happy to have a further discussion, but we need facts grounded in reality rather than feelings.

What did you think of the Mexico City Airport as a whole? Check in, general areas, cleanliness, its similarity to a bus terminal....

Ha. I mean it was fine. I totally get the bus terminal vibe! I was fortunate enough not to have to check in or check a bag. The signage was terrible, the windows dirty, and it definitely was a bit more beat up than some others, but it nothing I wasn't already expecting in Mexico. And looks aren't everything, I'll be discussing cockroaches in the new and modern Da Nang airport restaurants...

Yes it's expensive, but I think 2 1/2 hours is long enough on the island. A real nice trip. Thanks for taking us along!

Used them from Tampa to Nassau before no problems years ago. Booked another trip to Nassau again and now they cancled the Saturday flight a month out but I had to extend my trip and extra day to get out with Silver on Sunday. Biggest plus is a dirrect Nassau to Tampa flight with a toddler much prefered instead of dealing with connections.

You're only making one error. The 550 is not an airline design. It was always available from the Canadair days. So it is actually a factory (now Mitsubishi) option.

I mean it depends. Delta is about to start flying them as well. They are currently configured as CRJ-700s. They are tearing out the seats to make them 550s. Sounds like an airline design to me!

Actually Trenitalia operates also Pendolino trains, such as the Frecciarossa Etr600. The interiors change from one to another type of Frecciarossa. The Etr600 again has almost the same interior design as Italo Etr675, but then we have also the FR Etr700, Etr500, Etr400 (1000) and they all look different. Many trains are often late, that’s true, but in the vast majority of cases they just don’t exceed 10 minutes delays. Anyway they are a safe and easy way to travel around the country 😉

    What about the both Eurostars?

That’s why I called it the fastest train “exclusively within the UK!”
